Company Information for BAZUNGU e.V. (*2)

Purpose of the Organization:

The association is committed to promoting sustainable development cooperation with

Africa. Its focus is on the countries of East Africa, including Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania; however, work

in other countries is expressly not ruled out. The association’s mission is to improve

the living conditions of and create future prospects for particularly disadvantaged

population groups. This includes, in particular, poverty alleviation, improving

health care and nutrition, establishing or expanding educational opportunities at

the school and vocational training levels, as well as creating income-generating opportunities for the

local population or supporting small businesses. In all areas, the principle of “helping

people help themselves” shall be taken into account. To fulfill its purpose, the association may provide

both financial and material support as well as conceptual support in the form of project-related

public relations work or through the coordination of existing initiatives.

The purpose of the bylaws:

is achieved, in particular, through the establishment of health clinics specializing in

ophthalmology.
